To open and maintain
clear paths of communication among the leaders of academia, business,
government, and the nongovernmental community the Institute hosts a Roundtable
Discussion Series in Washington, DC. The extremely successful Roundtable
Series on Business Ethics provides a forum where influential figures can
exchange ideas on such important topics as labor practices, business ethics
in emerging economies, the environment and anticorruption strategies.
The Roundtable Series has featured many international authorities on business
ethics, including:
Dr. Cecilia M. Arruda, Coordinator of the Center of Studies of Ethics
in Organizations (CENE) at Fundação Getulio Vargas in
São Paulo, Brazil;
Dr. Terence Tsai, Assistant Professor in Business Strategy at the
Chinese University of Hong Kong, Department of Management;
Mr. Simon Webley, Research Director of the Institute of Business
Ethics in the United Kingdom; and
Nigerian Delegation participating in U.S.-AID program featuring representatives
from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission
of Nigeria, the Nigerian National Assembly, the Nigerian Ministries
of Justice and Transportation and the Nigerian Inspector General of
Police.
The Institute is always looking
for individuals active in the field of business ethics and corporate and
social responsibility to serve as guest speakers for the Roundtable Discussion
